This is a comfortable, mid-priced walking shoe. It has the standard DMX dual chamber air sacks that transfers air from the heel to the front of the shoe during the walking motion. The plus part is a bottom, outer surface that has a small, waffle pattern, almost plastic insert that provides a little more shock absorbency that the standard DMX shoe. Good deal for the money. I use them and would not return them. Still, no-where near the ultimate walking shoe.

#$ Bushnell Yardage Pro XG Golf GPS

I am now a total expert on Bushnell Golf GPS's having owned the Yardage Pros XG, XGC and Neo.

Of these, the XGC was the only one that worked properly. It has problems, but I was able to read yardage.

But this is an XG Review:

Pros:

Good Satellite Reception.

Good data (with $35 subscription to iGolf - annual. But you can cancel after a year if you've already downloaded all the courses you want)

Solidly made (though very bulky)

Good Buttons

Cons:

Did not work on the first course I tried it on ("No Tee Box Found" error)

The Display is low contrast. Some of the menus are impossible to read in sunlight because of their truly moronic interface design (highlighting black text with dark gray instead of using white text on dark).

The Bottom Line: If this unit worked, I would've kept it, But the NEO or XGC are probably better choices.

I think if the NEO actually worked that'd be my top pick(I had an issue with Windows 7x64 - or something - and it wouldn't load courses). Bushnell thought my problem was weird, so maybe it'll be better for you.

BUT since the XGC DID work and seems to be a little bit more modern electronically (e.g. seems to recognize USB natively without pretending it's an old fashioned 1980s serial port), I think I may have to go back to the XGC.

ALL I really want is something that tells me how far to the pin. How far to hazards or dog legs would be nice, but mostly I want distance to pin. Maybe I need a rangefinder, but I don't want to slow down play by pulling out a rangefinder on every shot. I want something where I can just glance at my bag and see the yardage. That's it. The NEO has its own issues, but if it worked, I think it's the most sensible tool for most golfers simply because it is the least intrusive.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT: AWFUL!!! Bushnell provides no support email on their website. It takes at least 10 minutes to get someone on the phone. If you do get someone on the phone, they'll be able to answer routine questions, but not much else. They were supposed to get back to me about my defective unit.

No call or email back. I get the feeling Bushnell simply doesn't want you to bother them.

We love our WeeRide!

This installed relatively easily. The WeeRide comes with all the tools you need to install: Allen wrench and wrench. The first step is to fit the bar between the handlebar stem and the seat stem. Basically the bar sits parallel to the bar on the typical "boy" bike. My bike is pretty small and I was worried that there wouldn't be enough space to secure the front of the bar. There was just enough room for the front of the bar. Then the seat itself is secured onto the bar. You can easily take it on and off. The seat also slides back and on the bar a little bit. Once we get over the trauma of putting on his helmet, my son loves riding in his seat. He sometimes leans down and grabs a hold of the handlebars and pretends to steer with me. It's very cute and it doesn't affect my steering. Once or twice he has put his feet up on the handlebars, which is sort of scary because it definitely affects my steering and could cause me to swerve. So I have to be firm about not letting him do that.

I am very happy with this purchase. I was reluctant to get a bike trailer - a trailer just seemed like way more gear than I wanted. I just want to get on the bike and go and not have to mess with a whole other piece of equipment. Also, I'm just very wary of the safety of trailers, too. The profile is so low (even with the recommended flag) and I'm worried that cars can't see the trailer and that a car would turn into it. (Yes, neurotic mother, I know.) On the WeeRide, my son can see where we're going (another advantage over trailer).

I definitely recommend the WeeRide.

I've used this treadmill quite a bit since I got it and in terms of ease of use and durability I have no complaints. This feels like it belongs in a gym and can be useful to beginners and trained athletes alike with its speed and incline maxes. The running surface is generous and the cushioned surface saves my ankles. There were a few things missing on this treadmill that, having used many gym treamills in the past, I thought were just standard issue such as:

- No cool down mode after a run. When your time runs out, the machine just gradually stops. Normally I just quickly start another run on low speed.

- No increase/decrease time function in case you want to run a little more. If you want to run less I guess you just stop whne you want.

- Fans are a nice idea but don't cool your front at all. You may gain a small sensation of running outside by turning them on, but if you want to be cool have AC and a ceiling fan running like I do.

- User ID's are not really "your personal profile" like I thought, but rather you can design your own run, defining speed and elevation at each point. Also, once you start your workout the machine will fight you to return to the programmed settings if you plan to change the parameters on the fly. Eg. you're tired and want to slow down on the run you designed, well too bad cause I'm changing back to full speed even though you just slowed me down.

- Heart rate monitor on the console is tough to hold onto while you're running. Worse yet, is that the HR takes a LONG time to count up to your true heart rate which is very awkward if you're trying to run at the same time. The included chest monitor is necessary if you want to know your HR during the run.

- Speed and incline adjustments are only in units of 2 (i.e. speed buttons 2, 4, 6, etc. incline 2, 4, 6). If you want to run at say 5 mph, you have to pick 4 and fine adjust in 0.1 mph intervals to get to 5. This can be tough if you're running intervals on the manual setting.

- Preprogrammed workouts are not really explained and hard to get an idea of what to set the "max speed" at. For intervals I want to jog then sprint but I end up with a walk and run at a low max speed or a jog and insane sprint at a higher max speed.

- Most importantly, although this thing is very sturdy once assembled. This thing is a huge pain to assemble. From hauling this thing up the stairs to trying to interpret the awful directions to working with wierd clips to put scres through for holes that don't line up (think of IKEA furniture when the holes don't align) to feeling the wires from the console in a very non-intuitive way to the base, you will hate this task. It took about 90 min to get it together and I was so frustrated that I wished I had paid for the delivery and install even though I was capable of doing it myself.

Overall, these gripes are not as big as they seem. I am happy with this treadmill and for the price, the quality of the materials can't be beat. I just wanted people to have a buyer beware in case any of these things matter enough to be a deal breaker. But looking at the other brands in this price range, you're not going to get much better than this.

I play the FT Fusion Oversized that I bought a couple years ago. They are great clubs and I'm sure the new FT i's are great clubs, too. But the price is way high which is the only reason I only give these clubs 4 stars.

If you can find the old FT Fusion, buy them even if used to save some moola. Then put on new grips and off you go. Another point: only buy the irons that you need. If you have hybrids that you like, keep those and buy the irons to fill in the lofts you wnat. You can buy these clubs one at a time, you don't need to get the whole set.

My two year-old loves this. It seems durable, put together relatively fast and she constantly asks to go outside and ride her bike. It's a little hard for me to steer, especially turning corners but a lot of that is just the physics of it. We really like the seatbelt and feel safer with her using it and we like that it can be used in stages. She doesn't usually rest her feet on the footrest but she does use them to get on and off it easier. When the peddles are going around, she just lifts up her feet a little so they aren't hit. I'm glad I found this.

The padding goes down your leg a bit thus preventing pinching of sensitive structures that occurs with narrow padding. I bought a pair of tri shorts measuring 10x2.5 inches which begin to pinch after an hour or two. Small areas may work well for sprint triathelons but if you plan on hours of cycling then the larger size seems necessary.

DON"T EVEN BOTHER USING THIS TO REMOVE OLD "FAST TWIST" SPIKES!!!!. just like others, one of my 2 prongs broke instantly. after doing some research on-line i ended up not even using this tool to remove my "Fast Twist" soft spikes. i used a pair of needle-nose pliers and some tweezers. this tool was only helpful for putting the new spikes on my shoes. Its not the tool's fault. its the design of the spikes themselves. you'll know what i mean when you decide to replace your own spikes. the "fast twist" style is an oxymoron.

This is obviously for beginners - look at what you get for the price. It's a great set for what you pay for because it doesn't NEED to be replaced. You can use it for a long time and be fine. The mat is a little narrow, but that doesn't matter to me, because the length is fine. Yes, you can get fancier prettier stuff, but I've used this equipment for over 2 years and it does the job. (Except my dog chewed up the blocks thinking they were dog toys I left for him, doh!) The workout IS outdated, yes. The video quality sucks. Going from HD to this takes some adjustment. It also has a cheesey fake NYC backdrop. But the honestly, it is one of my fav pilates combo yoga workouts ever. The instructor gives excellent advice as she helps others with their posture. The workout is very thorough, long, and is perfect for beginners. I like her demeanor as she isn't annoying. It works the whole body and I actually saw results rather quickly. She spends the right amount of time on every position. If you can deal with the outdated unhip visuals, it's a wonderful workout, far better than one I would have expected. It is the kind of workout I'd expect at the gym. The loop for the strap is a slightly narrow and the strap itself could be wider, so that's why I gave it 4 stars out of 5. Regardless, it's a great value and everything works just fine. I'd buy a better copy of the workout for this price alone if I could.

My wife has this mat or one very similar from Manduka, that is about 2 years old. I remember her whining a bit at the time it was new about grip, of course, it wasn't my problem so i paid little attention. i have since used her "broken in" mat, and it is awesome! So i bought one. She warned me it would be slippery at first, now guess who's whining about a slippery mat! It has a coating on the surface that is very stubborn for people with sweaty feet. Your sweaty feet can cause a sweaty feat, if you know what i mean. I don't know how many sessions it will take to wear off the finish, and i feel like for a hundred bucks, Manduka should present you with a sticky mat. I'm currently wearing socks, which i don't like, but my hands do still slip, as they are just as sweaty as my feet. So be warned, if your feet sweat, you're praying twist might become a praying split. On the bright side, if you are looking for an extra hard workout, try your favorite routine on slippery mat, your muscles will reward you!

I bought the Yakima 3-bike rack because one reviewer on here said that with the 2-bike model the bikes rubbed together, damaging the paintwork! It was a birthday present for my son (who lives in Issaquah, a long way from home in the UK); he had just replaced the gearbox on his camper van and was off to try it out on holiday, so the bike rack was a very useful accessory. Below was his assessment:

"We used this Yakima rack on a VW Vanagon and drove from Western Washington down the Oregon coast and back. The rack fitted very well and kept the bikes secure. The security wire was a nice feature - you can remove one end of it easily to slot it behind the trunk lid then re-attach so it cannot be pulled back through. The only thing that did not work well were the bottle openers - the plastic was too soft to purchase the top of the beer bottle."

I really like this cushion on my Hang Up. The vibration really helps relax my back. I suppose nothing lasts forever but this cushion only lasted one month shy of 1 year. There's a short somewhere in the controller because it flashes on for a second once in a while and since it only has a 90 day warranty I guess I'll try to take it apart and fix it before I buy a new one. Hopefully it's only a loose wire. Other than that it's great.

I have a driveway that is about 400 feet from the street and have an electric gate half-way up. There are numerous pine trees that block the view to the street, thus causing me to want to know when someone was driving or walking up my driveway.

I don't write many reviews of things I buy unless I am really impressed or really disappointed. I did extensive research on driveway alerts and finally decided on the Dakota alert ht-kit murs long range alert driveway system. I bought the system and I got the birdhouse also.

I found the instructions and the visuals to be somewhat limited, so I called Dakota Alert customer service. I got an instant phone answer to a real live person and no recording. The customer service person was an American in America and had complete knowledge of the product. Within a matter of a couple of minutes my questions were answered and my setup was completed. It is so nice to call customer service on a product where you aren't routed to the Philippines or India.

I had the whole system put together, including the bird house in about 20 minutes. About 10 minutes was spent putting together the bird house. Keep in mind that the bird house is a disguise and is not intended for birds... The holes were pre-drilled and came with high quality weather resistant screws(even one extra screw). All sides lettered inside so you put it together right. I am glad I purchased the bird house. It covers and disguises the transmitter and will probably protect it from the elements.

I mounted the transmitter(don't take off the translucent covering of the lens--I didn't because I asked the support tech) about 300 feet from the receiver. Tested it with a car and a person and it worked perfect.

I later had some false announcements and figured out that when the wind blew, the branches of the pine tree next to it caused it to announce. Also, make sure the transmitter is mounted at the right height and direction.

I charged the portable radio, made sure it was defaulted to channel 01 and it also works perfect, giving me announcements about 1000 feet away in my back yard. This isn't one of those flimsy radios that say they will transmit 5 miles and then when you get them home you can't even use them from one side of the house to the other. This radio will transmit from anywhere on my property(only 3 acres) to the base station very well.

So, in summary, I am very happy with the whole unit and am going to buy another transmitter for my back yard.

On blogs, at road races, and throughout the running community, the Kinvara was a highly anticipated shoe that was met with a lot of pre-rlease buzz.

Like most (maybe all -- New Balance looks to be entering the fray themselves soon) running shoe manufacturers, Saucony was looking to make a marquee entry into the minimalist running shoe category to capitalize on the barefoot running resurgence, inspired in large part by Christopher McDougall's book.

Shoe tech geeks will tell you that Kinvara offered some surprises, with a bit more heel-to-forefoot than some expected, at 18:14. But, from the feel of the shoe, it does wear very naturally. Just putting it on I get a second skin sort of effect, and while I continue to do some training in more traditional performance training shoes, I really prefer and enjoy these.

At over 200 pounds, I am still concerned about the question of cushion, and when I am training for a longer race and my mileage goes up into the 40's weekly, I am a little concerned about wearing a shoe like this, but I am hoping to ramp up some more mileage in the Kinvara and see if it returns results consistent with what I am getting right now wearing it for speedwork and on race days (5 and 10Ks).

I agree with a previous review that the shoe fits a size or so small. My 13's were very snug. In a minimalist shoe, I want some extra room in the toe so that I get the benefit of wearing less cushion and my toes can splay and move and find solid ground. For me, the transition to 14 would be tough, but I would say you should buy these at least a half-size up.

Being forged blades, they may be intimidating at first. I had no trouble hitting them from the start. As other reviews had said these gloves are great for providing varying resistance for weight training. I like the open palm style as I can wear lifting gloves under these weight gloves. However, the gloves are cheaply made for the purpose of kickboxing usage. I have used these only a few times in kickboxing sessions, but the seams are already getting ripped. I guess the weights in the gloves are too heavy for the stitches and the material and can't take the stress from the punching motions; thus, the rips in the thumb holes as others had said and the rips in the finger seams.

I've played off and on for several years with several boxed sets of clubs, like Affinity, and I like those sets. My team at work won the fall golf scramble and I wanted a good set of clubs, above the $150 boxed sets, for the spring scramble. I was looking to spend around $350 for a set. After much research, I decided on the Forgan IWD series. I bought these irons, the IWD driver, and the IWD IV Putter.

I cannot sing enough praises about these irons. You get 8 clubs (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PW, SW) which is nice as most sets don't include a Sand Wedge. One of the things I like about the box sets is the hybrid clubs they put in there. I hit the 7 through wedges just fine, but just can't consistently hit the lower irons, so I love the hybrids. I was worried about not having hybrid clubs as I had no woods with the new set and would likely be hitting the lower irons. However, after using the irons in this set I was comfortable with, I noticed I was hitting them better and straighter than any irons I've used before. So, when I came to a longer par 3, I decided to use my new 5 iron instead of borrowing someone's hybrid. I could not believe the results. I have never hit irons this well. I don't know if it's the deep cavity backs or what, but they are incredibly easy to hit, very forgiving, and go far and straight. I didn't miss hit an iron once the whole day and started using them whenever I could. I am very impressed with these irons and am looking forward to using them a bunch this year.

If you're a decent golfer (not quite worthy of Nike or Ping), looking for a new set and want easy to hit irons, this is the set for you. I play for fun. I don't take golf to the extreme. I've never worn a pair of golf shoes. I don't buy expensive balls. I play for fun, and these irons certainly made for a fun day. Overall, the IWD series of clubs are amazing to use and a feast for the eyes with it's green/black color. I was able to color match a green/black golf bag from Prosimmon to complete my set and am quite pleased with the package I've created. I plan to order the woods and maybe a 3 hybrid and Lob wedge from the same series to complete the bag.

After the biker in front of me was almost hit by a nut bus driver in NYC, I decided to change my 5-6 year old helmet (with two weeks of no-biking, following that event). After checking all reviews online, I was convinced by Giro, and went to the local store to check the size (M or L) and decide between Ionos or Atmos. Surprisingly, I was disappointed with the internals, comfort and product quality for both models at this price. There is no significant difference between the models, except a bug net that Ionos has vs Atmos (who doesn't). Additionally, the adjustable straps (both models) that sit at the back of your head are attached to the underneath of the helmet with two very flimsy connectors which have a snap - easily removable (wish I could post a photo here). It might be for cleaning (doesn't make sense thou) - in any case, I don't want those to come out so fast in case of an accident. I was disappointed, as I read this helmet was one of the toughest out there. Since I'm a product designer, I manage testing and breaking products (to check safety) quite often. I couldn't make sense of these connectors. Plus these carbon reinforcements are pure marketing, they have no actual role. Well, maybe the tapes keep the shell together after it broke in pieces in said impact. But that's all.

Surprisingly, I found another helmet out there in the store. I had not heard of it before, I was not expecting it. There were no reviews on Amazon (was checking my mobile) and reviews in general were hard to find. But it had an AMAZING fit. The back has an adjustable dial (instead of the sliders, like this one) with cushion on the inside. Excellent product quality and comfort! The straps that go on the cheek/ side and under your chin are attached to the top of the helmet with a very intelligent solution. Much more robust. It's the Rudy Project Kontact - got it in Matte Black and Silver/ Red. It was $25 cheaper than the Giro. More comfortable, excellent quality and design.

Posting this to encourage readers the good old way of shopping - go try yourselves for fit, quality and comfort in the store, don't just read the reviews. You might find something that will surprise you, like it happened to me.

I have struggled with getting my Cannondale f400 bike on the Thule car rear rack since I bought it. I even damaged the front shock boot and spent almost $50 getting it replaced. My bike does have a top bar, but the geometry is such that it just will not fit on my two-bar rack.

This very simple accessory clamps on in seconds and holds your bike level on the rack. I was surprised at its ease of use and am still mad at myself for waiting so long. I purchased this bike for my 6yr old because she loves Bratz dolls. I hit the jackpot. She loves it and I like the color and sturdiness. Plus, my daughter enjoys riding it. Prior to ordering from Amazon, I tried to order this bike from Walmart Site-to-Store and my purchase never arrived,the reps were rude and the service was poor. As soon as I cancelled my Walmart order, I found the bike on Amazon for a few bucks more and it was definitely worth it. The bicycle arrived faster than I expected. The assembly was NOT easy at all, but my daughter was riding her bike that same day. Kudos Amazon!

This water bottle cage is perfect. I have had mine for a year now (I ride with 2) and have had NO PROBLEMS with the cages. They are made from HARD plastic (I think), and are very durable. Another plus, is that they are cool looking. Mine came with the name BAT CAGE on it! I use TREK and CAMELBAK plastic 24oz. bottles for mine, and they are easy on the cage. Meaning, the bottles give a bit when I take them from the cage. My bottles are insulated so everything works out cool...literally!

I HAVE A LOCAL 9 HOLE GOLF COURSE we purchased this product with some scepticism but the proof is in the results.. of the three carts we used it on two are now running like NEW!!! It will not work on a cart that has dead cells but it did an awsome job on 2 of our 3 poor preformers for a few bucks and a last resort try before paying $700 to put new batteries in a cart we were pleasently surprised and delighted to save $700 x 2=$1400 at a time like this it was money well spent. I will use again on all weak preforming carts at our facility in the future!! more power...longer charge output and faster charge time...WELL worth it!!

I recommend the Wedge with the buckle straps and not the clip because you have to buy another mounting bracket and it doesn't even look very sturdy. All in all the Topeak Aero Wedge Pack with Buckle (Medium) is certainly the best out there!
